Brussels is great! Now that I'm in my new home, I finally feel settled in. I was in a hostel from Saturday until Wednesday, no internet. My host family is a retired couple. They speak French and Spanish and a little bit of English, enough to communicate with me and my two housemates who are also American with very little French skills. Now I have wifi and a beautiful home. I am having SO much fun and am very excited to start classes on Monday. I have SEVERAL new friends from all over the world (mainly America). I'm on my way out to meet up for dinner and shopping with some friends (shops close around 6pm here. It is the law that they close before 8pm. And they legally must close at least one day a week so they are not open on Sundays) Here are the classes I am signed up for:
Contemporary Europe Tuesdays 16:30-18:00 and Wednesdays 11:30-13:00
Mergers, Acquisitions, & Related Transactions Wednesdays 13:30-16:30
The European Economy Mondays 11:30-13:00 and Wednesdays 16:30-18:00
French 1 Mondays 16:30-18:00 and Wednesdays 10:00-11:30
and I am looking into an internship!
Very busy! Lots to do, so much to see! Will be sure to put pictures up soon!
